Stand with us and Gift A Night Off the Streets to support people struggling on our streets this winter.

We urgently need to raise $552,631 to provide 8,772 nights of accommodation, warm beds, showers, basic hygiene essentials, clean clothes and hot meals to people experiencing homelessness this winter.

Together, we can show them they're not forgotten in these tough times.

We need to support the most vulnerable members of our community across Victoria to show them they’re not alone.

The Problem

Right now there are over 30,000 Victorians experiencing homelessness on any given night. They don’t have access to the basic essentials, like a safe place to sleep, a hot meal and clean clothes.

And as the weather gets colder, sleeping on the streets is a struggle so people are desperate to find shelter and comfort.

This winter, we urgently need to provide 8,772 nights of accommodation at Ozanam House. With enough funding, we'll be able to Gift A Night Off the Streets to those who are doing it tough.

We need to support the most vulnerable people in our society across Victoria to show them they’re not alone.

How you can help

YOU can ‘Gift A Night’ at Ozanam House to someone experiencing homelessness this winter.

By sponsoring a night, you can provide them with a warm bed, clean clothes and a hot meal. Because when you’re alone and living on the streets, it’s nice to know someone is looking out for you.

We need to fund 8,772 nights of accommodation for those experiencing homelessness this winter.

The colder weather is a struggle on the streets so people are desperate to find shelter and warmth.

YOU can Gift A Night to provide a person on our streets with a warm bed, hot shower, basic hygiene essentials, clean clothes and a hot meal.

Your Impact

After losing his job, David found himself living on the streets.

"All I had was a suitcase and shoulder bag that I used as a pillow at night. I couldn’t believe how quickly it happened", David told us.

Thanks to our generous donors, David was able to use our crisis accommodation service to get back on his feet.

So far, St Vincent de Paul Society has been able to provide him with life-changing assistance including:

  • A safe place to stay, a warm bed and regular meals.

  • Working with service staff to apply for housing.

Today, thanks to the kindness of compassionate supporters like you, David is now back at work and has been able to find a safe and secure place to call home.

"Vinnies supported me the whole way and with
everything I need", said David.

Your support will ensure people like David have somewhere to turn to in times of need.

I was sitting in my car trying to create an account to no avail and couldn’t help observing a very thin guy trying to change clothes, shave , etc in the phone box. Went inside and grabbed $50 to give him… it was obvious he was homeless… Later I thought that probably wasn’t going to do too much to help him. Not even a room for the night. I hope someone else added to my paltry gift.
