Vulnerable people in Western Australia who have nowhere to turn need your help to overcome the impacts of homelessness and poverty.
Please support the Vinnies Winter Appeal.

Urgent assistance for people in crisis
Your gift can help people struggling to get by with food and clothing, or provide a help with paying essential bills.

A place to call home
When it’s no longer safe to stay at home or people are experiencing homelessness, your donation can help them find a safe and secure place to stay.

Ongoing support for a brighter future
Your kindness can help connect people to the ongoing support and services they need to rebuild their lives and break the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
All donations of $2 and over are tax-deductible.
Homelessness is never a choice
Young sisters Abigail and Isabella* have never known a stable, safe and loving home. All they have known is a life of instability, neglect and abuse. A life of constant moves, and periods of homelessness, including times living in a cold and crowded caravan or their mother’s car.
As vulnerable dependents they had no choice in their situation and no one to turn to.
Now, as young adults, they finally have the chance to break free from the impacts of homelessness to create a stable and caring home of their own. With help and support like yours, they can look forward to a brighter future that’s full of possibility they could never imagine before.
Australia is facing a homelessness crisis
This winter, across Australia, Vinnies member volunteers are seeing an unprecedented demand for homelessness services, and support.
Your generous donation can help people at risk of, or experiencing homelessness, with the urgent help they need to break free from the cycle of poverty and homelessness.
Your support ensures we can provide food to those that turn to us when they are hungry, and clothing to keep them warm this winter. A helping hand with essential bills or the rent could be all that’s standing between people and homelessness.
Sadly, family and domestic violence is one of the key drivers of homelessness. Your support can help people like sisters Isabella and Abigail—who've had to flee an unsafe home—access urgent help: food, emergency accommodation, and the means to begin again.
You can give hope when it's needed most.
“Help from Vinnies has pretty much kick-started our lives. Without your help, we would literally have nothing. We’d be homeless again and probably on the street.” - Abigail
The impacts of homelessness can be long-lasting
Homelessness—or even living with the constant risk of homelessness—can have a lasting impact on people’s lives.
Homelessness puts people at greater risk of violence, abuse, and poor nutrition. It also increases the likelihood of long-term health issues, including mental health conditions.[1]
These impacts can shape a person’s future—making it harder to pursue education, find or keep a job, and stay connected to their community.
Your support of Vinnies Winter Appeal helps vulnerable people in Western Australia access the resources, programs, and emotional support they need to build stability and thrive in the long term.
Together we can help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

* Many people are coming to Vinnies for the first time and are embarrassed to ask for help. We change people’s names and details – to protect their identity and uphold their dignity.
* Funds raised through the Vinnies Winter Appeal will directly support our core programs, providing vital assistance to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, poverty, and cost-of-living pressures.
