Adam is a father of three who, like many vulnerable West Australians, struggled to cope with the rising costs of everyday living. Like many parents, Adam, was feeling overwhelmed at not being able to provide essential educational materials for his children.
Desperate for assistance, Adam contacted a local service who assessed his situation and referred him to Vinnies WA.
Adam says, “I got assistance with food and a whole range of school items. I just can’t put into words the difference they made. They helped me with everything and that helps me save enough money to pay the bills at least. The volunteers are so understanding, welcoming and very friendly. They didn’t judge or discriminate and if they can’t help you they provide a referral”.
Your contribution is not just a donation; but an investment in breaking the cycle of disadvantaged students in Western Australia and providing stability for families working toward building a brighter future.
Many children in WA are living with the pain of poverty as the cost of living takes a toll on families.
For a child living in poverty, the start of a new school year can mean loneliness, missing out on opportunities and a sense of hopelessness. But you can change this and help them reach their full potential.
A kind donation from you can help alleviate the financial burden associated wtih the start of the school year. By offering financial aid, school supplies, and other essential resources, we empower parents and caregivers to prioritise their children's education without sacrificing their family's basic needs.
Ensure no child is left behind as the school year begins.
