BRING YOUR

GOOD WORK

TO WORK

Together, your team can support Victorians when they need it most.

Taking your team from GOOD to GOOD works

Your support can help fuel good works that make life better for individual Victorians and their families in times of hardship. By joining us in enabling more Good Works Together, your generosity can also have a broader impact that helps create a fairer, more compassionate, and more equitable society in Australia.

Here’s how your generous support can turn GOOD work to GOOD works

Soup Vans

Delivering meals, hampers, rough sleeper packs and caring friendship for people experiencing homelessness across Victoria.

Emergency financial support

Providing safe emergency accommodation for people facing hardship or crisis, such as a mum escaping family violence.

Housing Assistance

Our specialised homelessness service and provider, VincentCare, assists some of Victoria’s most vulnerable communities into housing.

Educational Programs

Enabling volunteers to work one-on-one with young people to improve their homework, reading, literacy and numeracy, and help them develop social and emotional confidence.

Our GOOD Works Together

The impact you could make.

The power of working together

What your workplace could achieve together in one year:

25 employees x $5 per week =

Warm blankets, a meal and a fresh change of clothes every week for a person sleeping rough.

100 employees x $10 per month =

Keeps our Soup Vans running so that we can continue to feed local communities.

200 employees x $250 per year =

Support for two families each month to stay in their homes, and avoid eviction and homelessness.

Engage your team, for GOOD

Good works go both ways. To celebrate your organisation’s impact in the community, the Society is committed to helping inspire teams by showing them how they’re changing the lives of Victorians for good.

When your organisation joins us to achieve Good Works Together, it will receive:

Tailored Communication

  • Updates on your organisation’s impact on the community, to better understand how you’re changing lives.
  • What are the benefits of a workplace giving-specific platform
  • An opportunity to invite a St Vincent de Paul Society's guest speaker to your next team-building event, to discuss the impact of brand values through corporate engagement, and share more information about the programs you are supporting.

Authentic Engagement

  • Opportunities for teams to volunteer with St Vincent de Paul Society.
  • Invitation to take part in our Vinnies CEO Sleepout, or to host your own community sleepout with your team, supported by St Vincent de Paul Society – this includes recognition on social media.
  • The chance to see your donations at work in a guided tour of our operations.

Your questions answered

For Employers:

What is the best way to establish a Workplace Giving Program (WPG)?

For smaller businesses, it’s as simple as reaching out to us. We’ll send you through a simple form to fill out with information to simplify a direct debit to St Vincent de Paul Society.

If you’re a larger organisation, we can help you to coordinate joining a WPG like Good2Give, Good Company and Benevity to automate the process, or help tailor your program for your needs.

What are the benefits of a WPG-specific platform?

If you’re a medium or large business, WPG platforms can help simplify and monitor your program, automate the payroll giving process and provide transparent reporting for both employers and employees.

Can my organisation match employee donations?

Absolutely! Matching donations is a great way to engage staff and show your commitment to your social responsibility.

What records do I need to keep?

It’s crucial to keep a copy of your employee’s authorisation forms, as well as records of the total amount of donations made each year. At the end of each financial year, the donations will be summarised on employee PAYG summaries.

For Employees:

What is a Workplace Giving Program?

A Workplace Giving Program enables you to contribute a portion of your pre-tax salary to St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria and receive the tax benefit right away, instead of at the end of the financial year.

How can I learn about my impact?

Your employer will have access to the latest St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria impact reports, and more, so you can see how your support, and the support of others, is changing lives.

What are the benefits for me?

Workplace giving is pre-tax, so you maximise your impact on the lives of vulnerable Australians, whilst reducing your taxable income.

It’s all organised by your payroll team, so there’s no upkeep or admin. Regular gifts mean we can do more, because they give us the security to plan our crucial programs and services into the future.

Where can I learn more about Workplace Giving?

You can reach out to your HR Department, or get in touch with our friendly team by emailing corporate.fundraising@svdp-vic.org.au
